For most residential projects, the best steel fence uses 16 gauge rails and posts with 18 gauge pickets. This is a dependable mix because each part of the fence has a different job. The rails and posts support the panel, carry stress, and help protect the overall structure. The pickets create the style, spacing, and security barrier. When those parts work together, the fence feels strong without becoming more expensive than it needs to be.
White picket fence costs $40-$45 per linear foot installed in Sacramento. Learn picket styles, paint costs, and what really affects your total price.
Unauthorized access does not always mean a stranger entering your yard. Around a pool, it often means someone reaches the water when they should not be there alone. That may be a toddler slipping outside, young children wandering during a family gathering, pets running through an open gate, or guests entering the pool area without realizing the risk.
